Understanding GWorld / Printing Charges

How are the print fees charged?
Clients will have to swipe their GWorld card (or a GWorld Courtesy Card) to select print jobs and release them to the printers. All print fees will be charged to the client’s GWorld Colonial Cash™ or Debit Dollars™ account. All users must make a deposit to their account to activate either card. For information on this process, please visit http://gworld.gwu.edu.

Why charge for each print job?
Other universities have found charging a flat, low fee per printed side to be the most equitable solution for meeting high printing costs. Under this model, individuals can choose the quantity of pages they desire to print. High-volume print users will be charged for this volume, while those who print fewer documents will be charged less. All print fees can be paid by both GWorld Colonial Cash™ or GWorld Debit Dollars™ by the swipe of a GWorld card, the official identification card of The George Washington University.
